They are for people setting a personal target, checking a number a coach or app gave them, or keeping simple records at home.

About Health & Wellness

The fitness calculators share their maths. BMI screens weight against height, the Calorie Calculator estimates daily energy use with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the Calorie Deficit Planner turns that into a dated weight-loss plan with floors it will not go below, and the Protein and Hydration calculators give daily targets. Nutrition Tools has one reference, a searchable guide to 36 food label claims. Wellness Tools are guided exercises and trackers: breathing pacers, relaxation steps, a stress worksheet, a water reminder and a Life in Weeks grid. Pet Care has its own calculators and records, from age in human years to feeding amounts and lifetime cost.

Every number here is an estimate from a published formula or rule of thumb, and each tool page explains its own assumptions. This is general information, not medical or veterinary advice. Calculations run in your browser; a few trackers keep data in local storage on that device and none upload it. The water reminder only works while its tab is open.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate are online health calculators?

Good enough for a starting point, not for an individual diagnosis. Prediction equations such as Mifflin-St Jeor are typically within about 10% of a measured resting rate for most adults, and activity estimates add more uncertainty. Your own weight trend over a few weeks is the best correction.

Do the health tools store my weight or other personal data?

Not on a server. Calculators run in the browser, and some put inputs in the page URL so a link can reopen them. The water log, pet weight tracker, pet reminders and expense list are kept in local storage on that device only and are never uploaded.

Which health calculator should I start with to lose weight?

Start with the Calorie Calculator to estimate maintenance, then use the Calorie Deficit Planner for a daily target and a goal date. Add the Protein Calculator to keep protein up during the deficit. BMI is useful context but does not change the plan.

Are the diet and body calculators suitable for children?

No. They are built for adults. BMI adult categories do not apply under 20, where a BMI-for-age percentile is used instead, and the deficit planner only accepts ages 18 to 80. For a child's growth or diet, ask a paediatrician.

Do I need an app to track water, weight or pet care?

Not for basic records. The water reminder logs drinks against a daily goal, the pet weight tracker charts weigh-ins and exports CSV, and the pet care reminder sorts tasks by due date. A phone app is better if you need reminders when the browser is closed.
